In addition to services operating above ground, there may be a whole host of pipelines and other services running underneath the site, or alternatively there may have been historic activities which could impact upon the proposed development, such as coal mining.

We have established a database of businesses and pipeline operators whose operations could be affected by a wind farm development. As part of our assessment, we liaise with those businesses to gain an understanding of the underground infrastructure.

If there are operations which might be affected, we will provide details of any clearance distances which must be adhered to, as well as suggesting other forms of mitigation.

Once identified, the location of any underground services and required clearance zones are plotted on a map to be provided as part of a report to the client (information can also be provided in GIS format).
